Description

I took this photograph in a little ville on the shore of Lake Tanganyika in Burundi, on a patrol during the municipal elections held here last year. This little girl caught my attention because she had an expression of melencholy that seemed very out of place on such a young child, particularly when contrasted to the bright, interested look on her younger siblings' face.

Camera used was a Canon EOS 20D, mounting an EF 55-200 II lens. Editing done in PS was a crop, colour adjustment, & conversion to B&W.
